About

I am a retired water well driller, heavy equipment operator and mechanic.  I have drilled water wells all over the state of Alaska throughout the years, often in very remote locations.  My career has also taken me to many of the lower 48 states as well as Hawaii.

Early in my career I learned that work clothes take a beating.  I also learned that good quality work clothes are very expensive.  Being the type of person who would rather do things himself, I learned how to repair the rips, tears and holes caused by welding and cutting with a torch.  I taught myself to replace the failed zippers and other fasteners.  I found I rather enjoyed the work and became pretty good at it!

Over time I acquired several different sewing machines to accomplish the repairing tasks.  The result is, I have a sewing machine for just about any job imaginable.  I have also collected the tools and supplies to install zippers, snaps and fasteners in heavy duty work clothes.

As I have now retired from the heavy equipment world, I have the time to pursue the not-so-strenuous tasks of repairing clothes for the people working in the industry where I spent so many years.

I hope I can save you a few dollars by repairing that torn knee in your jeans, replacing that broken zipper in your favorite snowsuit or replacing the failed snaps in your overalls – and anything in-between.
